D1srupta's Journal, 29 June 2017

So I finally got my grill home the other day and today I am planning to put it to good use! I have to reassemble it a bit as I had to take some of it apart to get it into my vehicle to transport it, but that shouldn't take too much effort. The only part that concerns me really is getting a good seal on the propane tank as I've never done that before. (Hell, I've never grilled before, so it is a learning experience either way.)

I purchased a few goodies for the grill, some both beef and pork baby back ribs, and I scored on a price cut for a bunch of regular chicken thighs. I also found some sugar free BBQ sauce, I made sure there were no sugar alcohols to be safe, and I even got some tools to make sure the cook was a bit easier to do.

The only concerning thing is I bought a watermelon, thinking that it is low carb, but now I realize that I recently read that any type of fructose is processed by the body as glycogen into the liver which supposedly will immediately take you out of Ketosis no matter what. I am not sure if that is true, so now I am hesitant to eat that watermelon. Can anyone confirm or dispute this for me? I do not want to knock myself out of Ketosis when I am making such good progress.

Either way, I hope that I'll have some goodies made for future meals. It will be nice to have this as an option now that I am able to grill.
