So, I'm back. I had baby number 5 just over 11 weeks ago. I came out of the hospital below my pre-baby weight. But, with all the business and craziness of a new baby, I just haven't been making great choices. So, here I am, just a smidge above my pre-baby weight again...which I wasn't happy with in the first place! But, oh well...no need to focus on that! This week, I'm trying to drink at least 72 oz of water each day. I'm taking my kids into town tomorrow for doctor's appointments, so we're going to go to the library and grocery store as well. I'm going to get a couple books at the library to research where I want to go from here...I've got to be careful while I'm losing weight since I'm also breastfeeding. I'm also going to pick up a few more healthy (though more prep time involved) type foods at the store while I'm already in town. My husband can't quite be trusted to do it on his way home from work! We live an hour out of town so that's usually how our shopping gets done. I really want to change the way I think, and really how my family thinks about food. We live on a farm and have access to good fresh meats and vegetables, especially this time of year.
But we don't take advantage of it. We do way too many cheese crackers and graham crackers for snacks around here. I'd really like to see all of my kids eating a little better. I don't want any of them to end up where I am! This picture is me right now. I've got quite a way to go!

Congrats on the new baby. I myself had 4 in 5 years. My baby is 18 now though. Breastfeeding does make it a little harder but you can do this. After my fourth I relied a lot on exercise to loose the weight. I learned to enjoy taking that time for myself. I also breastfed. I definitely cut my calories but always kept an eye on my milk production and my baby's weight. As long as they were okay I did not worry. Go easy on yourself. You have a lot to contend with. Take care of yourself.
