It IS actually science ;-) Sugar and carbs can be nasty little "pieces of work" Each gram of glycogen is bound to 3-4 hefty grams of water...Lots of water, minimal salt intake and it starts getting better. A good hard run building up a sweat didn't hurt either :-) ;-) Hope your flu doesn't linger too long. Garlic and 1000mg absorbic acid supplements, home made chicken broth and lots of zzzzzzzz...

you are the best LowCarbFF :) Thank you for the advice! Just waiting for the flu to settle before my next run (I am so frustrated not being able to run). Are there any good reads you would recommend on what you have mentioned about carbs and glycogen? I would love to learn more :)

Hi, maybe if you have a measuring tape use that instead. Numbers on the tape are better than numbers on the scale. Hope you get well soon!
