Ended 2011 around 280 lbs (probably more). It was my all time heaviest weight.
Decided that 2012 was going to be a different year health wise (assuming no Mayan-related events). Mostly through just trying to keep my calories at or below 2000/day. Exercise wise the theory is just burn off 500 to 1000 calories/day. So far as long as I can keep the carbs to a minimum hunger isn't an issue I can burn off around half to a third of a pound per day (somedays more)
As of Feb 8, 2012 I am down to around 250 lbs (a 30 lbs loss from just 5 weeks ago). Hoping to keep this momentum until I hit 200 lbs (50 lbs to go... ugh!)
Also trying to lower my sodium intake (which is far more difficult than I had originally realized). Trying to get it below 1,500 mg per day, but it is rare that I can even get it below 2,300 mg. It is a work in progress.
Looking forward to rediscovering my old clothes and more importantly lowering my blood pressure.
So to hell with the Mayan calendar - give me the Mayan scale (I hear it ends at 200 lbs)!
