First of all, please, no one look at my food journal yesterday. That was due to carelessness rather than deliberate eating off plan.
Now for adjustments after reviewing last week's results. This will be hard for me but no more oatmeal for breakfast! My new plan will keep the calories the same (under 1,500) but will lower the net carbs to under 30.
By the way, don't think any of you could tell this (because I re-set the start date of my diet to Jan. 17th) but today is my one year anniversary on FS! Thanks for all your help.

Happy FS anniversary, Buffy. No more oatmeal for breakfast? How sad. How about flaxseed? It's similar. My nutritionist didn't like it because it doesn't have as many carbs, but I love it. I mix 2 tbsp of flaxseed and a tbsp of protein in a cup with 1/2 tsp of cinnamon and my sugar sub of choice (these days it's lo han), pour a little less than 8 ounces of boiling water over it, let it sit a bit to let the seeds soften and eat.

Hope - I didn't mean that the food was bad - just totals at the end of the day were over - by 200 calories! Adds up quick when one is not paying attention.

but oatmeal is so good for you as long as you use the slow cooking ones and not the little packages of course. Steel cut oats are even better but they do take longer to cook. I don't have it every morning but when I do I find I can make it to lunch easier than with the multibran flakes that I eat most mornings.

Hope - I would find it hard to think of anything you could say that would offend me!

Christina - I agree 100%. But, I've been eating the instant. I'll still keep a box at work for "emergency breakfasts". Was also thinking of making some homemade granola with the steel cut oats.

hm, that sounds intriguing...what other ingredients will you be using? I know I would add some dried cranberries...yum

Buffy, you are doing fantastic. Happy anniversary. I can't eat wheat, or oats, or bran, or corn...they all give me gas and are way too high in carbs, which gives me gas lol....WAY TMI!!! lol Have a great Sunday and enjoy that Super Bowl game!

Happy Anniversary Buffy! Twenty-two pounds banished and the Scale Gremlin looks the worse for being booted so often, too! All in all, a VERY good year!

Christina - Still working on that - my biggest concern is how to sweeten it (my old recipe calls for honey). Will let you know if I come up with something edible.

Oh wow! Happy happy anniversary!!! Oatmeal is good for you but you know your body. I dont use instant but will use the microwave if I'm short on time. I eat my oatmeal plain, like it sort of under cooked (I know strange...) and sometimes I add Stevia. I always add cinnamon and have been including chia seeds when I remember. You sound positive and on a mission! You go!! Enjoy Soper Bowl!
