3.3 miles walked...warm and breezy but mostly cloudy. Doggies along for 2.3 miles and then I did a fast walk by myself for the last mile. I timed myself, trying to get a 4 mph pace, but ended up with 3.68 mph, basically needing an extra 1.5 minutes to finish the mile (was striving for a 15-minute mile, but ended up with a 16.5-minute mile). But this gives me a new challenge to change up my walk a bit.

Today is a home-based day with lots of chores to be done. I'm coloring my hair as I type....what else should I do while I have to wait for the color to do its work? I scored some nice bargains while I was out and about yesterday, so they need to be put away and/or readied to be worn.

The next few days should also be fairly quiet. The weather has brought out all sorts of blossoms way too early, even for the South. My azaleas are in bloom! And even some of the more colorful trees are breaking out their blossoms, as well. My only concern is that the bit of cold weather that we get here, manages to kill off a few of the creepy-crawlies each year, but THIS year, they may all survive! YIKES!

Never timed myself but that sounds impressive to me. Seems like you've got some really pretty scenery for your walk. There are a few signs of life here too - I've seen a wild violet on the nature trail - exciting enough for me.

I am a true brunette that went blonde as the grays were bad..LOL..I know I think if we don't get a good freeze we may get carried away with all the bugs this year..Will have to keep that fly flip handy..I love to find a good bargain in clothes...or any thing for that matter...have a great weekend...:O)

Buffy, the only reason I ever began to time myself was so I knew which category to select for logging my exercise. Guess it doesn't really matter all that much, as the exercise calories are a best guess at best. Have a great weekend.

Bren, I guess I'm a brown/blonde with TOO MANY grays! LOL! In the summer, it all gets bleached out from the sun and it seems to make the grays come out even more. I used to get highlights in my hair but a few years ago, the stylist went to lowlights because I was getting too light with the gray. Last time I had an ID photo, the c/s person looked at me and said, "What color is your hair?" I felt like saying, "Take your pick." My hair color of choice for today was Nice N Easy foam, color 8C. Turns out, I really like this color!

Laurie, I really should get a photo AND include the front page of the newspaper with today's date! Longer-term residents can't believe how much is blooming already. I guess that's why some of the groundhogs predicted an early spring, even though the one in PA said 6 more weeks of winter. Have a restful weekend....if that's even possible for you!
