Nothing like failing a diet to make yourself feel like a complete failure. I'm starting to feel stupid for thinking I'd ever get to be anything but a fat little piggy. This diet thing was a horrible mistake. Now I can't even look at myself in the mirror without hating myself. I sure am the biggest loser, but not for weight. I just suck as a human being.

If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change. You have to have the right mind set to lose weight. Whatever you are willing to do to lose the weight, you must be willing to do the rest of your life to keep it off. Your walking for exercise, that is a great positive thing. Millions of us fall off the diet wagon every day. You have to pick yourself up and keep going. Find your motivation. Find a new plan! Read some books. Try Atkins, Calorie counting, South Beach, Weight Watchers, etc. whatever appeals to you and your lifestyle. Get a new exercise outfit. Buy a workout dvd. Try a new class. Get some fitness magazines. You have to start by making changes. It takes 3 or more weeks to make a change stick. So start by adding more fruits to your diet. Then next week add more veggies. Come on now! We all have our 'moments'. I've tried off and on for years to be at a right weight, and I've made it there a few times but I always gain it right back and then go right back at it. It's hard! And I do understand how you are feeling cuz, trust me, I have felt the same way at times. But that DOES NOT make us suck as human beings. We just kinda suck at losing weight. Self discipline is really hard for some and I am one of those. Some people learn to accept themselves for who they are and how they look regardless of their weight. Stop beating yourself up. Learn to like yourself, even love yourself, for the person you are.

Don't know if this will work for you - but I use the site/app to track my macros - then try to make it a "game" to manipulate them - All living creatures are on a "diet" whether a diet of bananas for a monkey or one of caloric control. Also I established a once a week weigh-in which minimizes the stress of the daily scale fluctuations. And lastly "maybe most important for me" is reminding myself that I must be in this for the long haul - a day/week/month where I get slack is just that - Agree it sucks on the scale but I try to remember I have 0 control of the past and my best shot is control of the present. You CAN do this
