My 9 year old threw an absolute fit because I wouldn't bake brownies tonight! He threw the box in my lap and said you ARE gonna make these. I am having brownies tonight... I reeeally think he needed his mouth washed out for that one, spanked or something...I think I was too shocked. LOL His Dad got a hold of him though! I told him I wasn't going to make them tonight because I didn't want to fight the temptaion! I made sugar free pudding INSTEAD! I WON!!! YAAY! ha ha ha REally today was good..Gosh, it's almost too good to be true! But guess what, I BELIEVE In TOO GOOD AND TRUE! I am beginning to see a healthy future...

It's hard having kids around who are used to eating yummy treats. My kids had a bit of a transition when my husband and I started SBD. One side effect, though, has been that if I *do* cave and get them sweets they end up being things that I think of as "Mommy proof"... like super sugary glazed donuts with yellow frosting and m&m's on them. Makes me want to gag looking at them. Of course, that's not so good for the kids either. So, I stopped doing that and am now back to managing the temptation. Ah well. :)

Good for you!!! Making sugar free pudding was a good alternative. It says I still love even if I don't make brownies. You're a great mom. Keep up the good work!
