It is so much easier to not eat the calories than to burn them off. It really isn't that easy to not eat the calories but at least I am now conscience of calories. There really is nothing "easy" about this whole process but it is certainly worth the effort. I am soo excited that two of my sisters have joined the gym too. Both are diabetic. Both dangerously over weight. I could not be happier that they are moving in the right direction. I do hope they make the decision to committ to this. Just joining the gym isn't enough. Will be there to support in any and all ways I can. My goal for this week: get past the 70lb mark! Been hovering around it now for almost three weeks. Today, I'm half a pound away. My orginial weigh in at the doctor's office was 347. I'm at 277.5 now. 70lbs is a BIG deal. That damn plateau has set me back. It has NOT stopped me but did slow things down a bit. Another goal: talk to the trainer. Not certain what I'm doing at the gym. I believe I'm doing well and doing the right things but I don't have the experience or knowledge so I need to discuss it with a professional. Will schedule an appointment with him for this week. I am making lifestyle changes. They are having positive effects. The fact that my changes have had an influence on my sisters is more than I could have asked for. If the notion strikes you, please pray for their success. We all know what a tough journey this is. Thank you! Keep the faith.
