Will be 4 months post op on Monday. As I was out at the park running today, I realized how amazing it is that 4 months ago, I was in the hospital recovering from major surgery and today I RAN SIX MILES! I was so PROUD of myself. I have never run that far in my life. I have been dutifully tracking all of my food for the past week. I get a bit frustrated that I work out really hard one day and eat really well, but yet I am up a pound the next day. I am a compulsive weigher. I know I shouldn't weigh EVERY day, but I can't help myself (and normally weigh not one but three times a day!). I know this is how my body works, up and down with the scale, and I am trying not to let it get me down. I am exercising regularly and am to the point that I really do feel GUILTY when I don't work out, especially if I have the time that day. I am so motivated to eat right and work out right now, it has been almost a month. I am hoping I can continue through the spring and summer!
