Working nights makes it hard to stay on my program...as evidenced by my eating habits. You can definitely see how ordering out demolishes all the good work I've accomplished. I really sit and stress about this...and wish I had some ideas....I know that I need stuff to eat that doesn't interfere with work (as a nurse, I'm constantly on the go)...but I also know it's harder to eat right at one job vs the other. Something to keep striving for

I DON'T KNOW YOUR HOURS ARE , BUT I ALSO WORKS NIGHTS, 1045-645 WHEN I WAKE UP AT NIGHT THATS MY DINNER,BETWEEN 830-900PM, THEN AT WORK BETWEEN 1-2AM I EAT LUNCH, THEN BETWEEN 6-7 I EAT BREAKFAST, I TRY TO BE IN THE BED BETWEEN 9-10AM, HOPE THIS HELPS CASSEA

I think I picked up most of my bad eating habits during those years I did nights in the MICU. Though I blame the husband for one or two of them too!

Thanks for the idea on the meal plan...I work...7p-7a...and I tend to eat...well...6pm, 9/10pm, 2am, 6am (so I can hit the gym when I get off and have energy). It's more a matter of tailoring my bring in lunches instead of giving in to the taco bell and ihop and pizza that tends to show up in the CVICU. And god, my husband eats horribly...and weighs too little...his doctor is constantly telling him to gain weight...imagine that!!!
