morela12's Journal, 11 January 2010

So i eat great throughout the week. Really try hard to stick to my plan and then the weekends come, i'm at home, and then i splurge. Yesterday was horrible! I just kept eating all day and felt absolutely horrible about it.

I feel like i get right back to square one after every weekend, because i get so off track.

I just needed to vent and get back on the horse now. This upcoming weekend is a 3-day weekend, and i'm thinking about starting ALLI, as i think it might hold me to staying on track over the weekends. Any thoughts? Btw, i'm super scared to start it because of the "treatment effects", ha, but i really do think it might keep me inline, because of fear of course (which i realize is completely the wrong reason to start something that i want to last a lifetime, but it might help kickstart it for awhile). :-)

Well, if you can stick to your daily points monday through friday and save your flex points for the weekend, that might help. Also, getting in some extra exercise on the weekends can help too. The real problem is that you have to change your mentality about the weekends being a free for all, lol. It's a habit. Maybe make one day (like Saturday) a day you will splurge a little and get right back to plan Sunday. As for ALLI, you will need to decide that for yourself. I had a friend who had an accident at Walmart, so that turned me off it. No matter what, you need to start creating new habits on the weekend (it takes at least 3 weeks to maintain new habits). It's not easy. Take baby steps and reward yourself with nonfood items. Good luck!
