Well my weight was about the same this morning as it was yesterday, so either the extra pastries did no harm, or the extra workout did some good. Btw, I'm rather pleased with myself, yesterday is the first day I worked out with a barbell. Granted it was only 30 lbs, but still, that's been a goal of mine for awhile. Speaking of goals, I'm reviewing my goals for August. So far I've tracked food ever day this month - woo hoo!!! Of course, the diet itself still needs some work, but I'm doing better on protein intake as well. I've swapped the Stronglifts 5x5 program with a different strength-training routine, one that is supposed to get me in shape for that big long hike I plan to do in New Zealand in October. Another goal was to get my running speed back up to 5 mph, and I've done that! Last night I ran the entire 3 miles at that speed, so yet another reason to do a happy dance! I can hardly wait until the end of the month, to see if I've made any improvements in the body fat percentage, but I do believe I've taken about 1/2 inch off the waistline, so again, woo hoo!!!
