Becoming more difficult to manage certain people. Mostly. people are very supportive in my choices in food, etc. However hearing "Oh, one wont hurt you" said daily, adds up. Occasionally, I find myself eating things, just to not hear others nag.

I've found that just saying "I don't want any right now" works better than "I can't eat that because I'm dieting." No one has much of an argument against something you just don't want.

Yeah, my mother in law was like that at the beginning of my journey. I had to get a little "snippy" at her to make her stop...Sooooo annoying!

I agree, a simple "No thank you" should be all anyone needs to hear.

I agree with Trackin64, sometimes a postponement works best -- "not right now, it looks good, I may have some later" is more complimentary to the host/hostess and sounds nicer than just plain no. And, after all, we do have to live with those people, whether we are dieting or not!
