I am still REALLY aggravated!!!! I am still stuck in the 170's! I only want to get to about 160 to 165 so I don't have that much more to go but I can't seem to get there. This has been the hardest and longest plateau that I have hit. I am doing my best to watch what I eat and I can't exercise anymore because it's getting on the edge of exhausting. I so wanted to be at my final goal by the next few weeks but it's just not going to happen I don't think. I especially wanted to get there because the holidays are coming up and I wanted that extra room so if I gained any over the holiday I would have a little wiggle room. I am going to try and not gain anything over the holidays but we all know that it is really hard to during this time of the year. Doeas anyone have any suggestions on getting over this hurdle? I am open to suggestions and I having been trying change up my exercise routine but I am stuck here.

Not sure what you are eating, but you can try upping your protein. Protein metabolizes better than any other food group. Get plenty of high fiber foods and drink your water. Water pushes all the sodium and all that fiber out, lol. Start doing intervals. If you walk, then start jogging. Walk for two minutes and jog for one, etc. If you run, then do sprints. Remember when you were a kid and could run all out. If you are on an eliptical, then do two minutes easy and 1 minute high resistance and keep alternation. You might have to get really strict with your diet and count every morsel. Give it 100%. Maybe try 1200 calories and day and really stick with it. Be as active as you can. Park further away at grocery store. Take stairs when you can. Good luck!

Look at you! You have shed 70 lb and you are UNHAPPY? Because you can't get that extra 5 lb that you THINK you want to lose??? I'd say your achievement is a cause for celebration, not for frustration! Great job, I say, keep it up, maintain the weight now and your healthy lifestyle! If you get stressed over imaginary weight loss, you may lose what you have achieved with so much work!

It's not that I am unhappy with the weight that I have lost. I am frustrated because I have hit a plateau. It's also not "imaginary weight loss", it's real weight that needs to come off. My doctor actually wants lose about 20-25lbs more. I only want to go about 10. This is not for vanity reasons either. This is for my health because I have been put on diabetic medicine because I am borderline diabetic. Losing the weight means reversing the possible threat of full blown diabetes and coming off the diabetic medicine which makes me sick to my stomach sometimes. I have celebrated my weight especially when going to buy clothes (this has become a nice change of pace) but I still have the health issues to concentrate on. That is the most important reason why I have to finish this out. I have been trying the alternating jogging but I think it's time that I add more speed to my jogging, and I try and find every excuse to walk, or take the stairs or just do something extra. My body is just at a stalling point. I have really been working hard for a while now so I am actually considering a few days break and then try back again. Maybe the stop then start might actually restart my body again. You can at some point wear yourself out I believe. Thanks for the responses:)
