Intermittent Fasting Plus Keto Diet


I have been fasting on every Wednesday for 6 weeks or so now....I like doing it but the problem is the weight goes back up 2 to 4 lbs in between fasting periods...even though i am trending down each week I don't like that part and i also don't want to fast more than 1 day a week...they are 36 hour fast from Tuesday night till Thursday breakfast....
I have been studying up on intermittent fasting and i believe that it will work out better for me....Since i am already in ketosis the plan is to do an 18/6 hour each day except for Sundays by eating 2 meals. I started last night 6pm after supper and broke my fast this day at noon. Good to go till 6 pm again today. I love weighing on the scale every day, but only record once a week...need to see it moving down each and every day...never up. These last few pounds are fighting me.

Okay you IF nuts (myself included, so don't get offended). So now I am experimenting with the I.F. to kick start the Keto again. It seems to be working. Giving up a meal or two during the day is not so bad... Like another FS member posted, it does make me re-think the whole "Gotta eat 3 meals a day or graze throughout the entire day" concepts. I think that has led to gluttony in our consumer oriented & much more sedentary lives. Yesterday I increased the IF from 16:8 to 18:6 - as you all suggested... Drank lots of water to appease the growling tiger in my tummy. Don't hate me, but this morning the green arrow pointed down nearly 2 pounds in spite of the cheeseburger (with the bun) & Fritos I gobbled up for dinner last night. There went my LCHF - but to my surprise, I was still below 25% carbs! Didn't expect that to happen.
