Up and down each week? Went to Doctors to have bloods done for long term goitre (told 17 years back it was OK) checked out again. Put on weight after gallbladder removal and weight gain on stomach so have app next Friday for blood tests for diabetes? I care for husband with diabetes so everything done from scratch and healthy, not goodies here. Also started with numb pins and needles in hands then feet so awating app with hospital for tests. Just got letter saying unfortunately no apps available at hospital at present if Ive notheard anything back by 7th May please get in contact. Good job its notmore serious, or at least I dont think it is. IN the meantime carry on watching what I eat, exercising etc. Sorry ladies and gents, having a vent here about not getting help in the near future from where its needed.

A bit of "up and down" is normal when losing weight. You don't seem to have recorded any food recently, though, so there's no way of suggesting ideas for you to do things differently to lose weight more consistently. It's hard caring for someone and caring for yourself but you need to look after yourself. Maybe find 10 minutes a day to log all your food might help you. It's a pain weighing and logging everything at first but it soon becomes second nature. Once you've built up a food diary, you can perhaps see what is causing you problems. It would also help your GP to see what you're eating if they need to know. You have to be honest though - it's difficult to log a whole packet of chocolate hobnobs but if that's what you ate, that's what you need to log. Gather a few buddies around you here too - I find them invaluable for support and often a few laughs. I've sent you an invitation to get you started. 👍 Best of luck! P x

Hi there, thanks so much, can you tell me how and where I accept your invitation.Not here often, time for me is a problem. Never eat anything that is not fresh for me or husband, no biscuits etc in house. Tend to write foods on kichen pad but rarely get round to putting it here. Keep the carbs low and doing more exercise, gentle but regular. A friend thought I had lost weight but think its the exercises. Busy reading up on leptin resistance as I am trying to work out where I am going wrong. Dread not getting into a summer frock again and not megga huge but not being tall dont carry the extra pounds well. Not long before I go for my blood test on Friday and it may show up something I never thought about. Thanks so much, Carol
