I'm back. I know I probably gained weight while I was in DC with my sister. I didn't do anything crazy, but I just ate more than usual. I picked up Carson from boarding last night and I can tell from picking him up: He gained weight too! He always does when he goes up to Bed, Bark & Breakfast. I think it might be because he doesn't go on long walks when he's there. When I was in Europe last summer he went from 13.5 pounds to 15.8 pounds in 2 weeks -- that's more than 10% of his body weight! Once he came home, I was very careful about treats and we walked a lot and his weight dropped back to 14 pounds pretty quickly. But now, with winter weather, I can't do much to take off the weight. No more treats for you Carson!

Thanks for asking HCB. My sister missed two weeks of chemo -- first because she felt so ill that the oncologist decided to cancel, and then the next week they were closed for the blizzard. So most of the time while I was there she felt better. But then I got sick and by the time I left she had to call for antibiotics because she had started to cough.. soo.... this is really an aggressive treatment plan she's getting, and she's got 9 more weeks to go. I don't know how well I'd hold up, so I think she's amazing.
