Tomorrow is Thursday... and I been obsessed with the scale. It seems like everything I use the rest room I think well while I'm here I jump on the scale and feel discouraged every time because sometimes it jumps to 160 and only low I got was 157 all in less then a week? I haven't seen my 155.6 since last weigh in :( boo. Hopefully tomorrow I'll be up and active more... just feeling sad I guess.

I am guilty of the same thing usually, I am actually thinking of moving my scale out of my bathroom except when I need it for my weekly weigh in. Don't get discouraged though! They say you should only weigh in weekly, and that you should do it at the same time every week. The best time is when you wake up after you've used the RR. The body's natural functions throughout the day will make your weight fluctuate anywhere from 0-3 lbs in one day (which is why they discourage frequent weigh ins, and if you are just can't help yourself, try to stick to the once in the morning) Also, the other reason for the once a week weigh in is that the calories consumed and the calories lost are don't really matter as much by the single day, but more over the whole week. I have literally watched my weight stay the same from one weigh in til the 6th day, and on my actual weigh in, I've dropped 1-2 lbs. Experts know that if people see the scale jump up, people are likely to get discouraged and then after a few times of that can give up on their workout/dieting goals. Also, studies have shown that exercise can boost your mood, so even if you are feeling down, get up and move :) Find a fun exercise and just stick with it :) I started doing Zumba on the Wii, and I have lost 5 lbs in 2 weeks, it's fun to do and I don't mind doing it every day. When I was walking the treadmill I found it harder and harder to get on it everyday but with the Zumba, I actually look forward to it :) Anyways, sorry for rambling, but I hope this helps :) Best of luck :)
I know and I really try to remind myself that hey the body does that and its ok it doesn't mean whatever I'm doing on a weekly basis or daily even doesn't help. I was doing aquatic zumba and I loved it but sadly now I'm going to college full time and working part time so trying to manage time is my weakness so bad at trying to fit everything in especially working out in my schedule. The Wii zumba sounds awesome but my 12yr old niece broke my censor (well I think its just the censor that's broken) :-/ grr or I would go look into it. I know I need to be more active so I purposely leave things in my car so I have to walk back and get it :) not a big thing but little things add up.
