Welcome. Plenty of good advice and encouragement to be had here. I never found NHS dietician a great help. I already eat FAIRLY healthily, just I was eating too much. I find calorie counting the best solution. NHS Choices has an app you complete and it tells you how many calories you need. Very similar to the recommended RDI here. Happy dieting.

Hi there, had a session with a dietician some 10 years back and she said I dont know why you are putting on weight if you are telling me the truth.Good to know the professionals have the answers, NOT.Next time I went even without any dietry advice was living on home made rice pudding, sweetners, skimmed milk and blieve me you do get full up and bored with eating that way.Had lost 11 pounds in 2 weeks says the girl who looks 15.Did not go back,no help whatsoever.Got a session next wek with what they call a changepoint programme.Got to bring my trainers too and stay 1.5 hours.Looking forward to it as I want to know what I dont know.Still going to do my calorie counting here as after 24 hours lost 2 pounds and seems to be all fluid.Always ate healthy but maybe too much which is why I was happy to find this site.Help for the folks who feel like they are going round the twist with the weightgain.Love reading how others are doing and have a peek in the evening.Thanks for the welcome, much appreciated.
