good morning, guys! i had a crazy crazy weekend! the wedding was nice, and i'll put up an updated pic of me one day this week so u can see the dress i wore! i loved it!

This week should be a decent one for food! Today is gonna be really healthy, especially after that wedding!! lol! i didn't weigh myself this morning, but i'm not worried about it at all! I actually think i did pretty well at the wedding! Working for 8 hours and being on my feet the whole time before the wedding definitely helped!

So it's been decided that Derek & I are hosting thanksgiving this year. I'm freaking out, although I'm not making the turkey, so I guess I should calm down a little bit. My mom is gonna do most of the cooking. We're just having it at my house because my parents kitchen is getting renovated next month. The good thing though is that I'll know what's going into every dish!

What is everyone else doing for Thanksgiving this year??

My first year in my house I did Thanksgiving for I think 15-17 people all by myself. I was so excited, and (I think) did a pretty good job. Its a lot of fun, but its always a lot of work, so make sure to take it easy the next day!!!! Glad you had a good time at the wedding!

For Thanksgiving with my family, the host usually does the turkey and mashed potatoes, and all the guests bring the side dishes. It takes a lot of stress off the host, and we get a good variety of dishes since we can all spend more time on one special dish. And... I'm planning on doing a Turkey Trot - a 5 mile run Thanksgiving morning! Takes the guilt out of eating so much later!

I like the idea that fawnkildoo has on the thanksgiving dinner. It shouldn't be so much stress on one person, cause then you can't enjoy the parade, football and the family. Plus there is just less to clean up if you only have to clean your own pans. :)

Oh my goodness, rdrd - the parade!! Thats so funny! I can't stand to watch it anymore, but I used to actually be IN it when I was younger. One year I was on the Strawbery Shortcake float (fell off it actually, and had to run to catch up!!!! LOL) one year I was on a train float, one year I had to walk the whole time because I was a jail clown.... And a lot of other years. The Macys Thanksgiving Day parade is the best!!!
