If your daughter runs into any questions about the new way of eating, I've been GFCF for two decades and would be happy to discuss it with her. No tasty products existed then, so I retrained my thinking and my taste buds and cooked everything from scratch. Products labeled GFCF usually upset my stomach.

You are a good mom! I'm also the mother of an asthmatic daughter. For years, I thought the food/asthma connection was b.s. As an adult, when my daughter began eating a gluten-free diet, the positive effect upon her asthmatic condition was truly dramamtic. I've apologized to her over and over...

I have asthma, too, and I could always tell when I'd eaten too much pizza or mac and cheese. Gluten and dairy are incredibly irritating to your airways!
