Have announced my diagnoses on Facebook this morning. That's done!

Have 5 at table for Thanksgiving. Haven invited hubby's family clan for Thanksgiving brunch on Sunday abt 16 people.

Yesterday I ate soup in midafternoon, but probably had too much. I wanted to finish the bowl, the flowered big bowl. Went to do errands and began to feel fuller and fuller and stomach discomfort increased. Chewed ginger in car. Burped a lot. I did well in morning--very small portions of many little eating events.

Never did take Ranitidene during the day.

Awoke today at 4:30 a.m. Very odd dreaming--I'm editing, writing, thinking through things. Might as well get up.

Am making a vow to quit doing the Internet browsing for gastroparesis; have had enough I think. I've sent away for the first of the two counseling books about it.

Went shopping for appropriate foods: low-fat marg, almond butter (for "away" meals with crackers), lowft parmesan can, nofat yogurt, nofat half & half.

I made bread yesterday that had only these ingredients: unbleached flour, salt, yeast, water. Two loaves, in the bread cookbook. Hope to graduate to rye flour. Gotta get advice on whole wheat flour before I use it.

Have had a lousy adventure with Gastro scheduling office. On Tues. I called to demand a dietitian appointment; they said I need a referral. I bluntly said "get one." The doctor appointment is Dec 7; the dietitian appointment is Jan. 7, which is better than I was fearing, given their lousy scheduling options.

Had a good phone call with daughter. Told her about fatsecret, but she's happier with "app" for calorie counting. We talked menus, ideas for the Thanksgiving meals, and ways to modify the garden plantings to help me--perhaps more root veg, ugh. Also I need to dehydrate peeled tomatoes, not skin-on tomatoes.
