Diana 1234's Journal, 10 February 2024

I found this hack. It does work. I didnt get 4 servings but did get 3 instead of usual 2.I normally cook my oatmeal for 5 min as I like it firm. Cooking this long makes oatmeal mushy to me. It needs to cook double+.Worth a try.

Unity, I made this last Thursday and straight out of pan it was too mushy for me but I had 2 nd serving this morning and added a teaspoon of peanut butter. Actually liked it better this time. Saves money so it's a win for me .💜

Yes, that makes a lot of sense. Sometimes I'll make the oatmeal and leave it out because I refuse to eat a beautiful meal in an agitated state of mind. So if I know I have to leave in a few minutes, or I am uncomfortable in any way, I'll try to wait until I'm 'ready.' Sometimes the belly vetos my idea, but when I do wait, I've noticed it dries out a bit. 😁

Mortica, I only eat them once or twice a week. I try to eat them whenever I'm gonna have a hard workout. I need the fuel. 💜

I usually make oatmeal the day before I eat it,don't like it soupy and the texture is better after being in the refrigerator overnight. I know it's good for me, but don't like it enough to eat more than once in awhile. I wish cream of wheat was as healthy as oatmeal, I could eat that every day!

Fritzy, I agree with you! Cream of wheat brings back memories of my childhood. My mom would sprinkle cinnamon sugar all over it. Yummy!!💜

Great idea! I make protein overnight oats and heat them up for 1 minute in the morning. Then add blueberries. One of my favorite meals with a pro coffee.
