That slow-moving weight loss ticker was bringing me down. I realized that setting my final goal weight as my goal here on FS makes me feel like I will never get out of the red zone. After reevaluating, I decided to revise my current goal to 259 -- a little over 10% loss from my start weight. Now I can see some progress with each weigh-in :)

I think it's a lot better to focus on 5 or 10lbs at a time. Otherwise it is easy to get overwhelmed. So good for you!

I find that looking at the volume of weight I need to lose to be overwhelming, too. I find that setting my goal to smaller ones, like getting into new 9's [189, 179, 169, etc], gives me more of a feeling of success while the pounds coming off add up. Hang in there!!
