this diet thing is hard!

but i know i dont need to tell you guys this. Its soooo much easier to just get on your bike, ride hard for an hour, then force yourself to go on for another hour and then you have to go back, so you better work hard getting back or you will take forever to get home...

ill choose to ride 100km anytime over another day of diet untill you fail.

if you fail on your bike ride, and you dont make as good time as you had planned or even as you are supposed to, then after four hours cycling you STILL feel good about yourself whole day long...

opposed to dieting, you can diet for 23 hours and 50 minutes, have a weak moment and eat a piece of cheese in ten minutes, and you end up feeling BAD about yourself for the whole day....

just stuff that makes me think about things!

love maud.

I'd rather stick to my diet then to ride for 100km LOL. You don't have to feel bad just because you ate something you shouldn't, forgive yourself right away and move on.

Yeah, but... you rarely see Sumo cyclists. Something to think about. ;) I think both are necessary. No... not the Sumo and the cycle.

Maud you're doing great, I can't imagine riding my bike that far. NM- thanks for that visual of a Sumo wrestler, dressed in traditional garb, sitting on a tiny narrow bike seat. Now I'm not hungry at all. :)

For me, dieting has been about changing my mental perception about it. I don't think of it as "A DIET". It's just the way I eat. I don't consider my days "good" or "bad". I know I feel better when I eat certain things, not so good when I eat other stuff. Since I have given myself permission to eat and not feel guilty it turns out I don't really want junk. I try to keep negative thoughts out of it. I have no fails, failures, falling off wagon, etc.....I have choices I make, control over what I put in my mouth. Maybe because I'm older now or I was just ready, but my journey to this day has been awesome and never ending. I have 31 lbs to go til goal weight but if I didn't lose any more I would still be a happy camper. I feel better than I have in years and love the freedom from the "food fight" I was in for years!

I agree with Senecia, but then I haven't managed more than 2 miles on my bike, so really really hard for me.
