Down to 92.3kg from 95.5kg in 1st week of the 12 week Hi Protein Lo Carbs diet ~ that's 3.3kgs lost ~ I am so pleased and if I keep up this rate I'll meet my goal of 24kg off in 12 weeks.
Was feeling really crook in the belly Saturday through to Sunday so didn't eat or exercise a whole lot ~ mostly layer aroung but I'm feeling a lot better today & spent 2hrs in the pool with Rosaleen and Linda and the rest of the afternoon with Patrick.

Hi Jill - great to see how well you are going and how positive your attitude is! Just a caution (speaking as a nurse as well as a fellow fat secret member) - don't try to keep up crash losses too long - 1kg a week is more than enough. Moderate sustained weight loss is much healthier for you, and much easier to maintain over the long term. We all need to change to a new permanent lifestyle to keep the weight where it should be - it is near impossible to keep up drastic diets such as maintaining ketosis on high protein/ low carb for long. As long as your calories in are less than calories out and your choices are healthy you will get there.

Thank you so much for your input Craftykathy ~ I do appreciate your opinion being a nurse and obviously having some knowledge on nutrition etc... I must admit I appear to be going like a bull at a gate but I have been so unwell for so very long that my sedentary lifestyle caused by recouperating from a succession of Chronic illnesses is now stimulating further illnesses therefore whilst I have the mindset to get well I am using every tool available to get there. Willpower is #1 ~ I don't know where it came from but by golly I'm going to use it while I have it and having discovered there is this great program where I can record everything & keep myself honest is terrific. Gentle Hydro Exercise #2 ~ I am having a Titanium (to match my two new hips ....lol) shortie wetsuit custom made for me to wear in an outdoor pool to protect my chest as I have Empasyma & very weak lungs together with Osteoarthritis L3/4,4/5 & 5/S1 and a Scoliosis curve in my spine of 20o to the left ~ so I need to creat warmth in all of those areas whilst I'm exercising ~ exercise on land is just absolute murder for me..... just walking is murder and at times depending on the terrine I use a stick; having graduated from my walking frame last Christmas. Whey Protein drinks #3 ~ I really quite enjoy my smoothie in the morning ; I add fruit, Chai seeds & Mixed raw nuts with the powder in my Blender with some ice blocks and they're not only delicious but they're sustaining ..... I am no longer binge eating!!!!! Snack fruit, Fish & salad #4 ~ these are things that rarely made an appearance on my menu over the past 15 years since my divorce & I stopped having to prepare food for anyone ~ I got lazy about food preparation; just grabbing whatever at work ~ I worked in hospitality so there was always something fat fried & friendly wanting to make an extra impression on my rear end ~ going home to an empty house has the same effect ~ sympathy food is what's left over at the end of the day for you to take home and binge on whilst watching telly alone. So there you have it my friend ; what I am saying is if my current method is working for me right now then I'm going to stick to it because I am too afraid to make any other changes and fall off the wagon AGAIN ... Thank you so much for caring Ciao for now. 🌹
