Ive been doing very well. I haven't had a cheat day other than on Saturdays when we go have catfish king and I eat pinto beans and catfish. I know there's carbs on the breading but I've been able to have that little cheat and still lose 2-3 pounds a week it looks like. I feel great!! :)
263.0 lb Lost so far: 5.0 lb.    Still to go: 108.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
losing 3.7 lb a week

Don't be afraid of carbs. The key is to be in a caloric deficit. I'm guessing you're in a caloric deficit and that's the reason why you're still losing pounds. Try doing a carb cycle. First day, no carbs. Second day, some carbs. Third day High in carbs and go back to first day and repeat the cycle. Also, drink lots of water. As long as you know how many calories to consume daily for weight loss then you shouldn't worry. I love chocolate and sometimes I leave room for that and those are the best days. :-D Keep up the hard work.

Thanks. Yes, I know I have a calorie deficit for sure. I like eating low carb because the protein keeps me fuller longer and cutting back the sugar makes me feel better and my skin looks better etc. I'm not afraid of the right carbs. I have whole wheat bread and tortillas, green beans and broccoli etc. I just avoid the higher glycemic vegetables. I've also just started drinking Zeal in the mornings. I'm hoping this will be good for me. It doesn't seem to do for me what everyone else describes. I don't feel like I have tons of energy or anything. Maybe it takes a few days.

I never worry about breading unless it's thick. Consistency is key. You're doing fine now. (I'm posting because I saw the rifle in your avatar. ;) I'm a hunter.) While I agree with the above poster on carbs, starchy carbs should be avoided if possible. Certainly anything with liquid sugars, but I'm sure you're already avoiding those. As to carb cycling, it doesn't seem to do much unless you're already fairly lean. Play with it if you like. Play with anything, but keep that calorie deficit going. I'm that way. I keep trying new things. When one approach quits working - and I think our body is designed to adapt so it's necessary from time time - try something new. Diet, like religion, tends to be a lot of dogma, and what really matters are the core ideas. Have a great day.

I'm terrified to try carb cycling... I'm so afraid that if I let myself have a cheat day it will derail me. I'm afraid I will end up binging if I do that. I have found so many things though that are a "treat" that fit into my diet plan. I love my coffee with sugar free creamer. It's a lifesaver for me. I eat sugar free jello with whipped cream and some of the low carb ice creams from time to time. So when I'm feeling like I just have to have something sweet I have my safe foods. Northernmusician I got my first deer last year! I was so happy! I can't wait until this deer season! LOL I actually have a little sticky note on my desk with what I want to weigh by deer season wrote down on it LOL!! Packing a 30-06 and climing tree stands and dragging a deer out of the woods is hard to do when your a size 22! :P

lol. My wife uses an .06 as well. I bought it for her after she faced down a grizzly with a .243. Moose hunters. Also turn bear into sausage. Out of a berry patch they're just like a good clean pork. As to carb cycling, I have an issue there as well, but I find if I stay away from the starchy carbs I don't get the following cravings. That puts me into fruit and veggies and nuts to boost the calories a bit if needed.
