First bike ride! I kept it to 15 minutes, did 4.6 miles, got my heart rate up to 121 a couple of times. I did have to take my hands off the grips a few times to let my arms rest, that was more exertion than I expected! I noticed I sped up in my pedaling when my arms were resting, so I am assuming that the dynamic tension between the two increases when using both and diminishes when just doing the lower body. Anyway, I broke a good sweat and feel pretty good about myself right now 😁
Baby steps!

Love it! You did GREAT! I shoved in a DVD I used to do with ease the other day. I lasted about 2 minutes & said the hell with this & went for a walk instead. 🤣 Baby steps...😁

Zen I made one of my cups of coffee into a semi-BP coffee by adding two tbsp of coconut oil and using my handheld frother to mix, it worked pretty good. I skipped the butter because I wanted to see how the mixer worked just with the cream and Coconut oil. The oil is a warm solid and butter is a cold solid. I like my coffee pretty hot...and I think that is what blew up my Magic Bullet Blender, very hot ingredients mixing in it caused too much pressure and it blew the seal a few times allowing liquids to get into the base. I will heat up the butter tomorrow and use the frother and see how that goes.

Debra, cool. I didn't have my BPC yesterday (ran out of coffee), but I did the day before. I could tell an immediate change in my energy level. Let me know if you feel a difference.

Thanks Storms! I'm feeling the effects of the seat on my butt this evening though, I'm hoping I will develop a tolerance for that as time goes by. It was worth it, my hips felt more relaxed and I had much less difficulty climbing into the back of the truck to pick pears. I'm going to sleep well tonight! I'm pooped!

good job! if your arms are feeling tired, make sure you're engaging your core as much as possible. your hands should only be lightly resting on the bars, not holding your upper body. keep it up!

Asarver, this is an airbike where the hand grips are moving in tandem with the pedals. I think I need to figure out how to adjust the reach on them because I am having to lean (extend?) forward a good bit on the down pedal. So I am basically twisting to the right when my left hand is extended and twisting to the left when my right hand is extended. After three days of 15 minute rides I'm feeling workout tenderness in my forearm my bicep and my tricep. I also have tenderness in my waist, just below my ribs. So I can attest that it's giving those muscles a workout also, even more than my yoga. I rest my upper body several times too while my lower body keeps pedaling and I'm not feeling a whole lot of tenderness in those areas....other than my butt where it contacts the seat! LOL! I'm not sure I am doing it right. I've never had an indoor bike before. Maybe I should watch a few videos on it and make sure my form is correct. I'm trying to ride it like a regular bike, but my handlebars didn't move like that!

Oh that sounds kind of neat! That's good it's working out your upper body! Watching videos is always a good way to make sure you're doing it right. Keep up the consistent though 😁

YAY! Now my butt is not so sore when it hits the seat! I must be developing calluses in that area!
