Completed Day 2 - Atkins induction.
It went fairly well.
Looking at recipes on Atkins. OMG, I forgot how he ingredients are high in fat.
Meat, cream cheese, cheese, bacon, whipping cream, and the list goes on. It's scary! All the things I've been shunning. And expensive as a grocery list!
And looking at carbs!! Boy, they are everywhere! Even the La Grille Steak Spice has 1g of carb per 1/2 tsp. (and I've always been very generous with that!) But 0 cal.
It's quite a shift in mindset to go on Atkins.
But I'm treating it like an elimination diet, whereas I eliminate all carbs or two weeks. (18 - 22 g of carbs a day - that really ain't much) and then reintroduce them gradually for OWL then for maintenance.
So, it's a good plan and will give me an accurate count of what my body needs carb wise to maintain.
this I know I can do. It's Canada day, although none of my buddies are Canucks!
