So, the story for yesterday involving the twix bar (yes, I'm rationalizing) is this.
I had my usual breaky and went to work. Busy morning resulted in my missing coffee break which isn't a big deal usually. But somewhere in there I called my dentist and complained that the tooth that I have had a root canal on a few weeks ago, and got put on extra antibiotics for, was still hurting quite a bit. They decided (and rightfully so) that I probably needed to see the specialist right away.
So at noon I raced off to see a specialist to deal with my very sore tooth.... having skipped coffee and lunch. He takes one look at the xray and mumbles that it's going to be a very difficult root canal to be done (and he's rumoured to be one of the top endodontist in the country).
This scares me.
Either way, he wants to do a quick root canal to relieve the pressure right away, and wants to do a more thorough job on Saturday (expect a long wienie blog this weekend). And I need to start on more antibiotics in the next 10 minutes. With which I need to eat. yeah Bioxin!
The pharmacy next door obviously only caters to the dental office. It's the size of my living room, has a few things on the shelves (mostly pain relievers for those of us receiving root canals) and antibiotics. As for food: 4 types of chocolate bars, small packets of trail mix and 3 types of Pringles.
I figure I'm not eating for a while which a super sore mouth, so I go for the trail mix (*maybe* some protein there) and Twix (only cause I love them!)
Must say... I do feel better now. It's now more like I got hit with a good left hook rather than feeling like I had a fork impaled into the side of my face. Still not looking forward to Saturday's appointment though...
