Post run lunch. Light salad with grilled chicken. Knocked out an early training half marathon followed by a 5k race. Not my best time but still creeped in to win 1st Place Masters. I’ll take it.

Love it. Run a half to warm up for a 5k. Only you, Zane.😄 BTW, how much time do you spend stretching? Any yoga involved in your race prep?

JustBananas - Stretching? What's that? Lol...I should probably be joking but can't say that I am. The group I run with doesn't spend a lot of time with pre run stretching, we just sort of take off. No yoga recently, I've done it in the past but not since I started with my running group.

About 10 years ago I was on a flight and was seated next to an Olympic speed skater. She told me she did 4 hours of yoga most days (who has time for that, right?). I just thought that was fascinating -- a yin/yang of going super fast and then slowing things down to a meditative pace. I used to do half marathons before I hyperextended my knee 4 years ago, but stretching every day was mandatory for me (still is) as a way of lengthening my muscles.
