Just wondering how all those here in the SOCal area are doing. Shrewdness, Morticia, everyone else. Our streets are flooded but otherwise — no roof leaks.

I have always had a keen interest in the weather. I live in Southern Illinois and we are used to bad weather. We get dense fog, ample rain, flooding, high winds, storms, snow, sleet, freezing rain, hail, and tornadoes. My grandma lived in a town 80 miles south of here that experienced the worst tornado in history due to loss of lives when she was a young girl.So it is something we have to deal with. We have had 2 limbs go through the roof in the past. We need a new roof now. The weather has changed a lot here from when I was a child. I built my own weather station in 8th grade so I would know. I assume from global warming. We are fortunate in that most severe weather goes north or south of us but it does get way too close for comfort sometimes.

May your roof remain intact, Kenna, and may the excess water not overflow the streets. Good luck!

Thanks Writingwyo, I have a condo and we upgraded and replaced all the roofs about 5 years ago. Hopefully I’m good. So far anyway..
