Today I begin a week at a county fair where my husband and I have a booth of historic prints to sell. Eating correctly could be a challenge with all the "fair food" smells in the air. I would appreciate extra prayer to get me through my first week at FatSecret. There will be several more fairs during the month of August, so this will be a good test. "With God, all things are possible!" PTL...I just need to listen for His promptings and then obey what I hear. Thank you in advance for your prayers. I will not have internet access until Monday, so you won't be hearing from me for awhile, but I will weigh-in Monday and let you know how I did. My prayer is that God will bless all of you with a great week of feasting on Him!

Will be praying for you GrandmaJudy (it is funny to write GrandmaJudy, haven't had a Grandmother in years). I was reminded in my devotion this morning that we can do nothing on our own and even the Holy Spirit prays for us. Wish I could remember the verse that went with the devotion. Anyway, take plenty of your own snacks, will pray you don't notice the fair food smells and i also hope you sell lots of prints

I know you can meet this challenge and come out victorious! Set your mind to the 'next level' of thinking... Don't think 'I hope I can do it', or 'I don't know if I can resist'. This is the OLD YOU way of thinking. Instead, let the NEW YOU come out! Think 'I KNOW I can resist because I've got the Holy Spirit available to guide me!'
I've heard this great saying by Joyce Meyer not long ago. She said "Don't pay a high price for a cheap thrill." Just remind yourself that even though it would be so gratifying to taste the food, you'll pay the price for it way longer than the flavor ever lasted!
