sallilas's Journal, 12 March 2015

I have been very good so far this week, even resisting sweets/choc when I was in the sweetshop earlier today and my kids (and hubby) all bought treats for themselves!

I don't weigh myself more than once a week, so I'm not due a weigh-in til Sunday, but I have been so good that I'll be disappointed if I don't lose something - possibly my mind!! (Although that was a done deal long ago!)

I am being positive and have joined a challenge to lose 2lbs a week for the next three weeks, so I'm hoping that I'll manage that at least - but I am not going to beat myself up about it if I don't.

My overall goal is to lose 20lbs and get down to 9 stone 2lbs (128lbs), but I am setting myself a first mini-target of getting down to 10 stone by Easter Sunday (5th April).

Wish me luck! :)

Think its a really good idea to set mini targets as firstly they are quicker to achieve and secondly they give a boost when they are achieved. I constantly set mini targets and find it makes dieting a lot easier. Yes I wish you luck.

Thank you. Tiger1608. Yes, I like to set myself mini-targets for exactly the same reasons as you say - I am very determined and but I need motivation to keep me going, so it helps to achieve those mini-targets along the way. Good luck to you too :)

SUSIEQUEENSWAY7 - I wish you luck too. Have a Happy Mother's Day today. I've been given some small non-edible gifts and cards, so that's helped - but the fact that I've still had to make my own, my hubby's and the kids brunches is a little annoying! :(
