Panigale1199's Journal, 03 March 2015

Hi all. After Sunday's workout I was so sore in my butt and legs. Monday I tried doing the stationary bike to loosen up the muscles. I was on it for 40min, low resistance and moderate speed. I thought I felt okay until I went to sleep . Now my inner thigh muscles are SO SORE I am walking like a penguin/grandma at work. I feel like I am hunched over LOL. During the night I felt like there was a 100lb rock on pelvis area. I was so sore every time I moved throughout the night it kind of woke me up. I was aware of my soreness while I was asleep. The only comfortable position to sleep was on my tummy.

This morning I decided to skip the bike and do a walk/job for 30min. THe walking helped. I did a slow jog here and there to get my heart rate up then went back to walkikng. I don't know if I should of worked out this morning at all...But I felt the walk would help loosen up my inner thighs and legs... I can't decide if its worth taking a rest day tomorrow? Or just doing my upper body with weights and no cardio at all to give my legs a rest. I have been eating the right amount of protein, just slow recovery I guess.

Also note: It has been tough trying to do 20-30g of carbs daily. I always find myself ravenous around 5:00pm right before dinner. While my BF was cooking dinner last night. I worked out on the bike. After I was done with the bike I was so hungry and light headed that I just had 2 TBS of peanut butter with a little dark chocolate and it helped clear my head right away. Also it held me off until the steaks were finished. I feel like I have been eating enough. But I find I always end up around 40-50g Net carbs. I will keep trying to hit 30g. I may need to cut out the chocolate and piece of fruit for good.

More water to push out that lactic acid in your muscles, keep stretching...and make sure you stretch post-workout, it's very important to stretch after a workout to keep your muscles loose :)

P.S. Your body will adjust to the stimulus and be better prepared next time. Won't hurt so bad.

Make sure you stretch thoroughly after any exercise and if not contraindicated by medical issues, a very warm, not burning, bath would help.

Thanks Gillian..i do need to make more time for stretching. I do a little of it but I realize I need to do it much more. Plus I wouldn't mind being more flexible
