Why I love running... alone at night
Running in the dead of night is now my go to workout. While at first I thought it's something I would only do in rare occasions and only if I'm with a group of buddies, surprisingly after a month of consistently doing late night runs alone, I'm definitely hooked. It has become a therapy not only for the body but also for the soul...
... the silence of the night where everything seems to stay stand still gives me pause to live in the present ... when the only sound is myself running out of breathe, it let me acknowledge my own limitations and not feel bad about it
... when there's only me and the endless road ahead, it keeps me patient and positive - tomorrow I could always ran farther.
... it lets me focused on how I see myself and not what the society dictates of me
... it lets me be
