Now that all the excitement has died down for the present, I think I'll go take a nap. Little old ladies don't do well with tornado warnings when they're touching down all around her. LOL! I'm an East Coast girl. The weather out here terrifies me!!!

Thank Goodness you are okay...I was worried!!! The tornado that was spotted at the Royals stadium is less than 10 minutes from my son's house. I have been off all afternoon due to the weather. There has been 4 1/2 inch size hail...unbelieveable. Softball size. hope you are ready for the next round as it is just outside KC on the west side.

So glad you checked in! I was worried about you. That weather terrifies me, well any kind of high wind scares the poop outta me. Have a nice evening and hopefully the weather smartens up for you.

Babs, that's exactly where I've been. LOL! My blankie, two cats and my Yorkie, all huddled together on my lovely big bed. Since I live in an earth-contact house, my bedroom IS my basement. Hugs.

Steph, there was no pattern to them today. They seemed to be touching down at random, literally, all around us. We got hammered with rain and hail and then one touched down just eight miles north in Mayview. My son, on the other hand, who is just 10 minutes south, didn't even see a drop of rain. It's been a weird day. We still have 80% chance of storms going into tomorrow morning. Thursday is supposed to be rather nice and then it's supposed to be bubbling up again Friday, through the week-end. You stay safe too and keep us posted. These same storms are headed that direction. Love you!!!

Pixi, it terrifies me too. We lived out here when I was little and my mother, who is from Maine, made my dad build her a concrete bunker when he built our house. Technically, it was the furnace room, but it was ceiling, walls and floor concrete. This is the time of year I just want to run home to Northern Virginia/Maryland.

Bren, I have been very lucky so far. I just can't get Joplin out of my head. This is the worst tornado year since 1953 and it's just starting. I've missed you too. I've had a rough couple of months since the middle of March, and as Bambi's mother says, "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all." LOL!!!

Crowned, this is the safest kind of house to live in. You just have to hope it isn't your time yet. I'm trying not to take any chances. Hugs!
