I went to the Around the world embassy tour in downtown DC today. It was fun. There were a couple food samples- I wound up having Sky juice (mixed drink of sweetened condensed milk, coconut milk and gin...yum!), conch fritter, Amazonian chocolate, some Bolivian sweet tea with a plum in it,Korean candies, Nepalese 'potato pickle' and 'beaten rice' and chicken schawarma and hummus in a pita served with a date and a yogurt drink. I have no idea how to add that to my food diary because I don't know what the portion sizes were. Had to do a lot of walking so I wonder if it evens out. Plus I intervaled home from the metro station. I've had a lot of fun today and am hoping to have more visiting my dad tonight, but we'll see what happens.
