Morning all! I was sick last week with a cold so had pitiful little exercise. It was my least amt I've had in 18 months. I am better now except for some conjestion in my lungs.

I am feeling good and inspired this week. Yesterday was the first Monday my weight was not up from over the weekend! I had a lot of events going on but I didn't really think about the food too much I guess and didn't overeat. I got a lot done around the house in the morning yesterday then hit the gym for weights, biked about 11 miles/ 43 min and then ran a mile. My weight is at 135 this morning so should be there or less for my weigh in this week. I will be swimming today and probably will do a "brick" where I run first then swim. A brick is combining 2 of the events together back to back like I did yesterday with the biking and running.

I am thinking of heading to a Trek store today to look at bikes. I have been looking a lot and want to get a new bike but want to stay under $300 or lower. I have a mountain bike now which is much heavier and slower for road biking. I have been looking around a lot and there is also stuff at Target and Walmart and those places too but thought I might as well compare a better brand and see what they have too. I'm thinking it will prob be too expensive there.

Anyway, that's what's going on with me. I hope all is well in your worlds. Have a good, healthy week!

Good to hear you are feeling better and that you are back to your exercise and showing some results on the scales. Maybe check out the classifieds or eBay for a second hand bike. You could afford a better quality bike if you don't have to pay brand new prices and bikes hold up pretty well over time so they are usually in good shape. Happy hunting :-))

Sorry the cold laid you low for awhile. It's good that you rested your body, though. Good luck bike hunting! I'm thinking a good bike is like running shoes - you get what you pay for. But I understand the need to keep the cost down, too. Have a great week!
