I hate cleaning house but I like a clean house. Right now I don't have someone to clean it so I do the best I can. Since I have a house sitter that will be here for 5 nights I have been cleaning. I want her to be comfortable. I made a list of things to do, very detailed and cross them off as I go. I've done this before. Made a list of things to do each week and cross them off and hopefully have them done by the end of the week. I have been doing so good working off this list! I want to cross things off. The first day I cleaned the refrigerator. I'm saving the stove for last. It is so hard to clean. There are very heavy grates on it and I have to remove them all before I can clean the stove. The grates can only be cleaned in the dishwasher - at least so far I can't figure out any other way. I love this stove - I put pictures of it on this site when I first had it installed a couple years ago. But I hate cleaning it. I remember when I was a kid my mom would get mad at my dad because he would fry hamburgers on the stove after she had cleaned and shined it. I understand now.

Last week I wrote about protein bars and shakes and how I thought they were making me sick, causing constipation and pain in my abdomen. I had a fever of 101-102. Now I have figured out the protein products didn't cause whatever was wrong with me. I've been able to eat them but no more than once a day. I want to use them up because they were expensive. I won't buy any more. Still don't understand why I had a fever. I know constipation doesn't cause a fever. It's a mystery but I'm fine now.

Update - I couldn't sleep last night - I think daylight savings time gives me insomnia. I was cleaning the stove at 10:30 last night and also the microwave. Was going to do more vacuuming but that would have upset Bobby and the cats who don't have insomnia and were sleeping. They are all scared of the vacuum.

Sounds like you were on a roll with your cleaning projects! Hope You got lots done on your checklist! Your stove sounds pretty cool- my hubs wants to get an old fashioned wood burner one with the cast iron top and grates, I think that’s be pretty cool but he has to get a cottage in the mountains to put it in first lol.

My body clock has been funky my whole life. Some of my best cleaning is 11PM to 1 or 2AM. I'm good with being up all night. However the only sunrise I want to see is if I've been up that late. Lol

Thanks REM - I just got the stove about 2 years ago when I replaced every appliance in my kitchen. It uses propane and has 5 burners! I remember posting a picture of it when I got it but didn't realize how hard it is to clean. I finished everything on my checklist, even some things that weren't on it - like cleaning lamp shades! SLYONE - I'm the opposite of you I think. I usually like to go to bed early and wake up just before it gets light. I would prefer to stay on standard time all year. I don't like when it's still light when I want to go to sleep. And it's funny that insomnia makes us want to clean house! I hate cleaning usually but when I can't sleep I'll clean. I remember once getting a step ladder at 2am and starting cleaning cupboards in the laundry room. Another time I was sitting on the kitchen floor re arranging pots and pans
