Happy Easter, Peeps! Bawk, bawk! :)

P90X - Kenpo done! 654 calories in 57 minutes. Keeyah! (Kenpo is a martial arts workout)

Working at night sure does take a toll on me! I was up till 3am. But I was determined to not let that affect my workout. It felt great, and now I need to get ready to go bowling with some friends.

I am seriously sore in my core from the workout yesterday. Funny how workouts will definitely let you know where you are deficient. I am looking forward to the second Core Synergistic workout later this week. I think might add it here and there just because it makes your core so strong!

I need to really focus on my eating. I am not getting the results I want (read: not losing the pounds) like I want. I know I am gaining muscle, and I know it's hard for your body to gain muscle and lose fat at the same time, but I am very impatient! The bright spot in this, I suppose, is that I am hovering in a weight range as the body fat goes down. What that means is that I AM losing fat, I'm just replacing it with muscle so there is no delta.

Losing weight at this age is certainly not as easy as it used to be! I suppose it would be if I wanted to be direly strict on my eating, but what fun is that? However, I do feel good that all the weight and fitness training I did in my 20-30's set me up great and muscle memory is a wonderful thing. Now that part does come back quickly!

I can't figure out this weight gain and lose thing either. Sometimes I eat really bad food and still drop lbs. Then I can eat really good and not lose anything at all. But your doing great building up muscle and getting toned. That will always payoff.

Thanks, Margeaux. I really needed the encouraging. I feel like I am fighting a losing battle, although I am not losing what I want to be losing! My boyfriend reminded that this happened last year when I did P90S. I gained weight, but lost bf%. He then reminded me that I also said that if I did 2 90 days in a row that I thought I would actually lose. I guess I will be doing those 2 in a rows this year. What is thelaughingdogs symobolic of?

The laughing dogs was actually a band name from an ex bf past. I used it cause it was easy to remember an nobody usually has it for a user name. I think you will hit a point when you start losing. I know about 6 mths ago I was really working out a lot and I had to cut some of the workout to lose weight. I also had to eat more calories. Over all it wasn't enough because of the cortisol but now I have an opportunity to lose then start back with more excercise to get toned.
