It was a blustery day...
yesterday...
It was also my first day of eating healthy. I ate way less carbs and calories than usual, so by the time I got off of work, I felt like a zombie. I stuck with it though and I'm proud of myself.

Broccoli Taste Test #1: Tried raw broccoli with veggie dip last night for dinner. I had to wipe my mind clean of all past experiences with broccoli (dads canned broccoli microwaved or heated up in a pot - gross). Surprisingly, broccoli doesn't taste like it smells when cooked. As a matter-of-fact it hardly has any taste... and that was GREAT. I ate way more than I expected, and was surprised when the roof of my mouth got roughed up from the tops of the florets lol. Oh well, still proud of myself.

I have hope for today. The sun is out, and I have a decent meal plan for lunch. (Tuna - yum!) I just really need to find time/motivation to workout. It looks like it will have to be after work but it's getting so dark so early I am worried about going out for a walk/jog by myself... My other option is to do some sort of quick workout routine on my lunch break (15-30min workout?). Not sure what to do yet......ideas?

next time, grabba bag of frozen broccoli from the grocery store, and steam it for just a few minutes (from frozen...for about 5-7 minutes or so. Sprinkle a pinch of salt on it for taste, and you got a warm, slightly crisp veggie to go with your dinner! :-)

I'm still freaked out about somewhat enjoying broccoli, but I will definitely try that! Thanks Alowe82!

@Sadie_eats I roast everything! Drizzle olive oil, salt and pepper over broccoli, set the oven to 350 and let is get a lil brown around the edges. OH. MY. GOSH!!!

I do my workouts on my lunch hour and I try to get out for a 15-min walk during one of my breaks (weather & work-load permitting). It's amazing what you can accomplish in 20-30 minutes. Use the internet to find some routines that fit your interests. I have found a favorite blogger and it's helped give me inspiration for my own workouts. But, you sound like you're off to a great start with food choices. Keep experimenting...you'll figure out what works for YOU.
