Exciting times. After almost a year of research and saving, I purchased a bicycle on Sunday. Not easy finding a bike for this kanaka nui (translation: large Hawaiian man).

The bike is a 2013 Electra Townie Original 3i. While only rated to hold 350 lbs, it is holding me--so far. (So you don't have to figure it out, I currently weigh 505 lbs.) Here is a copper version of the bike.

I test rode the Electra Cruiser 7D and the Electra Townie Original 7D. While good bikes, the 3i provides a smoother ride. Shifting with the internal gears is effortless.

Took my first spin today with my Sweetie as an escort--just in case. LOL Riding in our neighborhood was fun. Did not ride far, but got some good cardio going. Have to start somewhere right?
