Wow, today was supposed to be another fasting day for me and I did quite well till I got home this evening and discovered that my dear old mother had been busy looking up recipes online and trying them out. She had cooked up a tasty low carb creamy chicken soup with broccoli slaw for the noodles, it was quite good. She also made Pork Rind Oven fried pork chops, cheesy cauliflower and a loaf of Almond-Flax bread. Since she had gone to all of that effort, I could not tell her that I was fasting and not eat. So I had a lovely meal with her and it was quite nice. Now I have to wander the web and locate the recipes she used to get the ingredients so I can log them. We will try for the fast tomorrow. I told her after we ate and I told her it was no trouble to switch days :) I love my Mother, I am blessed to have her still with me, but we do not get along well. We are too much alike and we know exactly how to push each other's buttons and we do it. Since she lives next door(30 feet?)to me, I have to create boundaries and rules so we do not make each other miserable. And some days just the fact that I have boundaries and rules makes her angry. So, even though she has finally gotten on board with my new WOE, I am not sharing FatSecret with her. I have set her up elsewhere. This is my place to whine, cry and celebrate :) I have learned from my experience with her on FaceBook that she is not someone I want to share my failures with. :(

That is great that you ate the meal your mother cooked and can move your fast to another day. You are a very kind daughter!

She is a very kind mother to cook it for me, but since I tracked down the ingredients and logged them, I am 26% over my RDI, but I still look good for my daily average. Since all the food was on the plan and my portions were single size and I kept my net carbs under 20g I'm going to call it a success. I will ask her to let me know in advance if she plans on cooking again. It was a lovely surprise and much appreciated but it was still too much. I wanted to try everything and now I feel so full!
