way to go! as someone else said, 2 pounds lighter tastes better than any cake right now! btw, my treats are warmed up apples with cinnamon in a little crystal bowl, lemon water in my most beautiful glass...bring out your best dishes just for you! {{{hugs}}}

They just don't know how to be sneaky with their food do they? Way to go resisting temptation. It is hard! Just keep up the great work! 

Pamby - HANG IN THERE! Unfortunately the ones who love us most do sabotage us unknowingly sometimes. And sometimes there is more to that question "Do they WANT me to stay fat?" than what meets the eye. Besides seeing a big improvement in your health, what effect would it have on your family if mom was one day thin? Maybe she'd have more energy and want to take some night classes or travel? Maybe she'd actually get an occassional glance from other men *gasp*! Because you love and are devoted to your family, YOU know those things will just be innocent, but people's minds work in funny ways. I always think of Kathy Bates in "Fried Green Tomatoes" when I remember the transformation I went through when, several years ago I went from 160 - 112 in about six months. You may not think so now, but believe me, the whole world changes. :)
