Oh, MY! Starting to think this is why people back in the day were slim! No freaking processed foods. All raw, or make my own home made breads, that we've given up only for special occasions. Ok. I now get it. Eat raw as much as you can. Gotta calorie count if you are serious about losing. at 50+ who needs to lose almost 50 lbs, going to be deliberate. Striving to be "healthier!

I agree with you. I'm not 50 something but I had 66 lbs to lose, now I'm half way trough. I eat raw veggies with no added condiments, no added sugar on my fruit salad, no salt on my potatoes etc and I count calories. That's the only way if you want to lose weight in a reasonable amount of time. If someone has years for that, then they can take a more relaxed approach.
