I've lost a lit bit the last 3 days. This is the slowest start to a diet I've had in many years. Usually I lose 7-10 pounds the first month and then it starts to slow down. And I've been really good, concentrating on it. No chips, no soda, no cookies - none of the things that usually do me in. The last time I started I lasted one month, February of this year and I lost 8 pounds and then I don't remember what happened to make me totally give up - maybe 3 trips to the Oregon Coast and 3 to the Northern California coast and fish and chips! Anyway, 18 days so far and I've lost about 3.5 pounds. Doubt my very optimistic goal to lose 15 pounds by the end of the year is not going to happen. Might as well just go ahead and have some eggnog.
