5K race (unofficial) time: 27:40.
I was hoping to be under 27 minutes, but I'm happy with it because I gave a great kick for the last quarter mile. There were a couple of hills that killed me. My dad and my husband ran with me and cheered me on. They're both faster runners (my dad ran the Boston marathon this week), so it was nice of them to hang back to encourage me.
I plan on running 1 or 2 more 5ks this summer to keep me on track.
I have a bridal shower luncheon and a euchre party left today, so it will be difficult not to overeat. I feel a little like indulging myself since I raced today, but I will resist. Parties are definitely my downfall. I'm going to try to think, "well, I could eat that, but I would have no idea how to chart it on my FS diet log!"
So here we go, a good weekend for a good weigh in on Monday.
