Yippee! Down another 1.5 lbs this week! I'm totally happy with that amount, seeing as I don't have much weight left to lose.
I woke up this morning singing OK Go's "Needing/Getting" and it made for a great 4-minute morning dance party!
OK Go - Needing/GettingWell, actually, I was bouncing around on my rebounder (which is amazing for your lymphatic system; people with bad knees, ankles, hips, etc.; and those battling chronic illnesses, FYI) to the song, but it's kind of like dancing the way I do it. Plus, their video for the song is unbelievably good! Dance your heart out!
I can't believe I'm approaching 60 pounds lost! Friends and family are really curious about what I've been doing to lose the weight and completely cure my auto-immune disease with the way I eat, but they lose interest pretty quickly when they find out it's because I'm
extremely diligent about what I eat. Everyone just wants a "magic pill" to make them healthy. They don't want to hear that eating a lot of fruits and vegetables makes you healthy and can have a huge positive impact on most chronic diseases. They all want to know what exercise I'm doing, but don't want to hear that weight loss results are 80% what you put in your mouth, and 20% your genetics and exercise program (That's also something most trainers won't tell you either, and I'm studying to be a trainer & health coach!). They just want to continue to eat their garbage "food" and be in denial that those habits are detrimental to their health. (I use the word "food" loosely, because most of what they eat isn't actual food. They're food-like products.)
Oh well, I mostly keep my mouth shut, and let people do what they want. I never preach and only offer information about my own lifestyle when asked. I'm more than willing to help those around me who genuinely want the information, but I'm not about to waste my breath on people who aren't ready to change their ways.
